Become One of Italy’s Future 500 Enterprises

FUTURITALIA – National Recovery and Development Agency – is establishing the Future 500 Enterprises, a founding cohort of forward-looking small and medium-sized enterprises that will play a central role in strengthening Italy’s economic system.

This initiative supports FUTURITALIA’s first strategic phase: 2026–2030 | Stabilization & Foundational Recovery.

The Future 500 initiative operates under FUTURITALIA’s Economy Pillar, which strengthens and drives opportunity across six sectors, fostering investment, innovation, entrepreneurship, trade, and fair competition.

The Future 500 initiative focuses on enterprises operating across five key economic sectors: Primary extraction and harvesting, Secondary processing and manufacturing, Tertiary services and distribution, Quaternary knowledge and technology, and Senary non-profit and social economy.

The Quinary Sector, which covers public services and government-operated enterprises, is not included in this initiative because the Future 500 is designed for private, non-profit, cooperative, and community-based enterprises rather than entities operating under a direct government mandate.

Enterprises selected into the Future 500 will not simply participate in a program — they will be recognized as part of a founding group helping shape Italy’s next phase of economic development.

As members of the Future 500, enterprises are invited to take on an active leadership role within a coordinated national ecosystem.

Additional details regarding participation requirements, eligibility criteria, coordination structures, and available support services will be announced during the January 2027 Expression of Interest phase.

FUTURITALIA intends to establish a structured and collaborative ecosystem that supports participating enterprises through coordination, funding intelligence, strategic guidance, and long-term development initiatives.

The Future 500 initiative will formally open its Expression of Interest process in January 2027.
